Terms of use
Last updated 11 October 2026
MappyHour helps adults find happy hours and food and drink specials at bars, pubs and restaurants. It is run from Perth, Western Australia (ABN 88 301 878 191). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Questions go to [email protected].
1. You must be 18 or older
MappyHour lists alcohol offers. You may use it only if you are 18 or older and of legal drinking age where you are.
2. What MappyHour is, and isn’t
- MappyHour collects offers from venues’ own public pages, from venues themselves and from people who use the site. We check what we can, but offers change and listings can be out of date or wrong. Prices, times and conditions are set by the venue. Confirm with the venue before relying on a listing.
- MappyHour does not sell, serve or deliver alcohol, and is not a party to anything you buy at a venue.
- A listing is not an endorsement, and unless a listing says so, the venue has no connection with MappyHour.
- Please drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.
3. Your account
You can browse without an account. If you sign in, use your own details, keep your sign-in secure and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what is done with it.
4. Offers, corrections and photos you send
When you suggest an offer or a correction, or send a photo, you confirm that:
- it is accurate as far as you know;
- you took the photo, or otherwise have the right to share it;
- the photo is of a sign, menu or venue, not of people;
- it is not unlawful, misleading, offensive or advertising in disguise.
You keep ownership of what you send. You give MappyHour permission, free of charge and without a time limit, to store it, edit or crop it, and publish it on MappyHour and in material promoting MappyHour. Photos are read by an AI service to pick out the offer details, as the privacy policy explains.
A moderator decides whether a suggestion is published, and we may change, decline or remove anything at any time. We don’t pay for suggestions.
5. If you manage a venue
You may ask to manage a venue’s listing only if you own the venue or are authorised to speak for it. We may ask for proof. You are responsible for what you publish about your venue, including that offers comply with liquor licensing and advertising rules, and for keeping it up to date. We may remove a listing or your access if these terms aren’t met.
6. Using the site fairly
You agree not to:
- send false or misleading offers, or pretend to be someone else or a venue;
- copy the listings in bulk, or collect them with automated tools, without our written permission;
- interfere with the site, try to get around its limits, or probe it for weaknesses;
- use the site to promote excessive or under-age drinking.
7. Who owns what
The MappyHour name, design, software and the collection of listings belong to MappyHour. Venue names, logos and menus belong to their owners. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use, and share links to it.
8. Maps and other services
The map and place search are provided by Google. By using them you are also bound by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. Links to venues’ own websites take you to pages we don’t control.
Suburb names and areas come from the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Suburbs and Localities (ASGS Edition 3, 2021), used under CC BY 4.0.
9. Availability
We try to keep MappyHour running and accurate, but we don’t promise that it will always be available, complete or free of errors. We may change or withdraw any part of it.
10. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded. Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows:
- MappyHour is provided as it is, and we are not responsible for loss that comes from relying on a listing, from a venue not honouring an offer, or from anything that happens at a venue;
- where our liability can be limited, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using MappyHour at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. When we do, this page changes and so does the date at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, and its courts deal with any dispute about them.
